Terms of Service
Last updated September 25, 2026
These Terms of Service govern access to LedgerLine. LedgerLine is operated by Aaron Armentrout, a sole proprietor (referred to as “LedgerLine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accepting an order, or using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
LedgerLine provides software and APIs for accounting workflows, records, documents, integrations, and related operational tools. Features may differ by plan, connected application, environment, or release stage. Documentation and the order presented at checkout form part of the service description.
LedgerLine is software. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal, investment, payroll, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for your records, filings, business decisions, and any professional review you need.
2. Accounts and authority
- You must provide accurate account and billing information and keep it current.
- You must safeguard credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
- You represent that you have authority to accept these terms for the business or organization using the service.
- You are responsible for users, connected applications, and activity under your account.
3. Customer data and connected services
You retain ownership of data you submit to LedgerLine. You grant LedgerLine a limited right to host, process, transmit, and display that data as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service and to comply with law.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to provide the data and connect third-party services. Third-party services, including payment, email, hosting, authentication, storage, and optional integration providers, operate under their own terms and policies. LedgerLine is not responsible for changes to or outages of those services.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use LedgerLine to:
- break the law, infringe another person’s rights, or process data without authorization;
- probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security or access controls;
- introduce malicious code, overload the service, or disrupt other customers;
- misrepresent LedgerLine output as independently verified professional advice; or
- resell or provide the service to others outside the scope of an approved plan or written agreement.
5. Subscriptions, charges, and taxes
Paid plans are billed in advance at the price and interval shown at checkout. A monthly subscription renews automatically each month until canceled. You authorize LedgerLine and its payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for recurring fees and applicable taxes.
You may cancel through the billing portal or another available account control. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Charges already incurred are nonrefundable except where required by law or LedgerLine agrees otherwise in writing. You are responsible for taxes that apply to your purchase, excluding taxes based on LedgerLine’s net income.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or limit access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or other customers, respond to a security risk, comply with law, address nonpayment, or stop a material violation of these terms. Either party may terminate as allowed by the applicable plan or written agreement. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
7. Service changes and availability
We may change the service as it develops. We will use reasonable efforts to avoid materially reducing paid functionality during a current billing period without notice. The service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, provider outages, security response, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LedgerLine is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every accounting or compliance requirement. These disclaimers do not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LedgerLine will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data. LedgerLine’s total liability arising from the service will not exceed the fees you paid to LedgerLine for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow it.
10. Governing law
Kansas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any court proceeding must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Johnson County, Kansas, and each party consents to that venue, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
11. Changes and general terms
We may update these terms. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice when a change is material and the law or our agreement requires it. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a business transfer or reorganization.
These terms, the Privacy Policy, the checkout order, and any signed agreement are the entire agreement for the service, with a signed agreement controlling if it expressly conflicts with these terms.
